The Real Brief Wasn't "Make It Look Nicer"
Most clinic website projects start and end with a visual refresh. This one didn't.
Smile Avenue was already an established dental clinic in Umm Suqeim, Dubai — real doctors, real patients, real treatments, and an existing footprint in Google's index. At the same time, a second identity was growing inside the same clinic: SOLAÉ Aesthetics, a facial and skin treatment brand — RF microneedling, PRP/PRF, BioFiller, AI-assisted skin analysis — operating from the exact same address, but speaking to a completely different mindset.
A root canal patient and a microneedling patient don't arrive with the same questions, the same urgency, or the same emotional state.
The old site treated both as one undifferentiated list of services. Our job at CONSAI Agency was to fix that — and, along the way, to fix a technical problem hiding underneath the site that was quietly costing the clinic search visibility it had already earned.
One address. Two patient journeys. One platform that had to serve both.
From Website to Digital Clinic Platform
The old model was simple: visitor arrives, visitor reads, visitor finds a phone number, maybe they get in touch.
We designed around a different logic:
Discovery → Understanding → Trust → Treatment → Specialist → Appointment
For SOLAÉ: Discovery → Skin concern → Treatment → Consultation → Confidence → Booking
For local search: Google → Umm Suqeim → Clinic → Treatment → Doctor → Appointment
For search engines and AI answer engines: Brand → Location → Doctors → Specialties → Services → Reviews → Content → Booking
That structure — not a color palette — became the actual backbone of the project.
One Destination. Two Distinct Experiences.
The most important strategic call on this project was how to position Smile Avenue Dental against SOLAÉ Aesthetics.
Combine them too tightly and both brands weaken. Separate them completely and the clinic loses one of its strongest advantages: dental and aesthetic expertise under one roof, one trusted team.
Our answer was a brand-within-a-brand architecture:
Smile Avenue stays clinical, precise, and specialist-led — oral health, function, and long-term dental care.
SOLAÉ runs warmer and more editorial — skin, regeneration, facial aesthetics, and natural-looking results, positioned as "Aesthetics by Smile Avenue."
Different tone. Different imagery. Different calls to action. Different WhatsApp lines and social channels. Same underlying clinic, same trust, same address.
Patients now choose between Dental Treatments and SOLAÉ Aesthetic Treatments right from the first meaningful interaction — instead of scrolling through one undifferentiated service list. That's not a design decision. It's information architecture, brand architecture, and conversion architecture happening at the same time.
What We Actually Did — A to Z
1. Full WordPress Rebuild on a Custom Theme
We rebuilt the site from the ground up on a custom "smile-avenue" WordPress theme — content architecture, imagery, video, typography, navigation, and page templates across both the dental and SOLAÉ sides — instead of forcing everything into one generic clinic template or a heavy page-builder stack. Services and doctors were treated as structured, reusable content types rather than one-off static pages, so the site can grow as doctors join, treatments change, and new technologies arrive without another full rebuild each time.
2. Doctor Profiles Rebuilt as Trust Assets, Not Decoration
Patients choose a doctor, not just a procedure. We rebuilt every specialist profile — including Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed (Cosmetic & Endodontic Dentistry) — with clearer credentials, specialties, and photography, and linked each doctor directly to the treatments they perform. That Doctor → Specialty → Treatment relationship is exactly what both patients and search engines use to judge credibility — the E-E-A-T signal (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) that Google treats as non-negotiable for healthcare content.
3. Designing Around Patient Intent, Not the Sitemap
Someone in pain doesn't think "I'd like to browse Restorative Dentistry." They think "why does my tooth hurt, do I need a root canal." Someone exploring SOLAÉ thinks "what would actually help my skin texture," not "show me your treatment taxonomy." We built the navigation and content flow around those real questions — connecting treatments, specialists, FAQs, reviews, and booking instead of leaving them as disconnected pages a patient has to piece together themselves.
4. AI-Powered Patient Engagement
We integrated an AI Skin Analysis video with autoplay across the homepage, the SOLAÉ page, and the facial treatments page, plus a dedicated treatment video inside the "Advanced Treatment Planning" section — giving prospective patients an interactive, modern first impression of the clinic's process instead of another static stock photo.
5. Treatment Content, Filled In and Cleaned Up
Expanded thin service pages (including a BioFiller addition to the PRP/PRF page), removed cluttered stock icons from the Aesthetic Treatments cards, fixed a sticky sidebar bug overlapping the footer, and replaced outdated imagery with new, on-brand treatment photography (e.g. Virtue RF Microneedling).
6. A Booking Journey Built Around the Treatment, Not a Blank Contact Form
"Contact us" is not a booking strategy — the clinic already knows its treatments, its specialists, and its availability, so the site should use that instead of asking every visitor to type a message from scratch. We designed the appointment experience around a guided Treatment → Doctor → Details → Confirmation flow, with Dental and SOLAÉ kept as separate journeys so a visitor exploring an implant consultation isn't dropped into the same context as someone booking a facial. A visitor arriving on a specific treatment or doctor page can move directly into the relevant booking context instead of starting from zero.
7. Agency Cross-Linking, Done Properly
Added a "Created with care by Consai Agency" footer credit linking to consaiagency.com — a legitimate, relevant backlink between two live, related properties, not a spammy link-farm move.
8. The Real Discovery: A Ghost Website Living Inside the Live Site
Here's where the project stopped being a design job and became a technical SEO recovery job.
A full audit uncovered that Smile Avenue's entire pre-migration website was still reachable — an old `/treatment/general-dentistry/...` URL structure covering the full legacy service catalog (crowns, bridges, whitening, veneers, implants, orthodontics, and more), sitting in parallel to the new `/services/...` structure. Left alone, this is exactly the kind of invisible technical debt that caps a clinic's local rankings no matter how good the new site looks — duplicate content, diluted authority, confused crawlers.
We tested every legacy URL at the server level — not just in a browser, but via direct origin IP requests, multiple user agents, and zero-redirect-follow curl checks — and confirmed each one now issues a clean, single-hop 301 redirect to its matching new service page. That's precisely the migration standard [Google itself recommends](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/site-move-with-url-changes): permanent, topically matched redirects that consolidate ranking signals onto the new URLs instead of leaking them into the void. Historical domain signals and legacy URLs were mapped to their current equivalents rather than blindly redirected to the homepage — search authority gets consolidated, not erased.
9. A Local SEO Landing Page Built to Compete for the Neighborhood
Built a dedicated, bilingual English/Arabic landing page targeting Umm Suqeim directly — embedded map, FAQ content structured for rich results, and links to every doctor and relevant service. This is the page built specifically to win "dentist near me" and neighborhood-level intent, not just generic "dentist Dubai."
10. Search Architecture, Not a Bolt-On SEO Plugin
SEO wasn't the last 10% of the project — it was built into the structure itself: heading hierarchy, treatment-focused URLs, metadata, internal linking, canonicalization, sitemap architecture, and image optimization, all designed around how patients actually search — by treatment, by doctor, and by neighborhood.
11. Built for the Way People Search Now — GEO and AEO
Patients no longer only type into Google. They ask ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other answer engines things like "who offers dental implants in Dubai" or "where can I find an aesthetic clinic in Umm Suqeim." We structured the site's entities — clinic, doctors, treatments, location, SOLAÉ — so both traditional search engines and AI systems can parse the relationships correctly:
Smile Avenue → Umm Suqeim → Doctor → Specialty → Treatment → SOLAÉ → Reviews → Booking
That's Generative Engine Optimization done as information architecture — not keyword-stuffing, not inserting artificial "AI keywords." If a human and a machine can both understand the business clearly, the architecture is doing its job.
12. English/Arabic Architecture, Not a Translation Plugin
Dubai demands genuine bilingual infrastructure. The site runs dedicated EN/Arabic navigation and localized URLs with proper hreflang relationships — not a machine-translated overlay bolted onto an English-only structure. Brand names stay consistent across both languages while layout and navigation adapt appropriately.
13. Reputation Connected to Context, Not Just a Slider
The clinic carries a strong external reputation footprint on Google and Doctify. Instead of dumping every review into one generic homepage slider, our approach connects relevant reviews to the treatments and doctors they're actually about — a root canal patient sees root canal experiences, an implant patient sees implant-related trust signals, not a random microneedling review. That turns reviews into decision-support content instead of decoration.
14. Content Built to Educate Before It Sells
A clinic blog shouldn't exist because "SEO requires blogs" — it should build topical authority around real patient questions: what the treatment is, who it's for, what happens during it, who performs it, and what aftercare looks like. Recent clinical guides — covering areas like dental implants, root canal treatment, and microneedling — are connected back to the relevant treatment and doctor pages instead of sitting as disconnected articles that exist only to contain keywords.
15. Legal, Privacy and Trust Infrastructure
Dedicated privacy, terms, and legal-notice pages, plus visitor analytics consent — the unglamorous plumbing that quietly builds patient confidence before anyone picks up the phone.
16. Performance and Technical Health, Ongoing
Image optimization, caching behavior, and mobile performance remain under active review — because a beautifully designed site that loads slowly on a patient's phone in the Dubai heat still loses the appointment.
The Migration Was as Important as the Redesign
Smile Avenue already had history on the web — old URLs, an old theme, historic Google results. Launching a beautiful new site while silently breaking those signals would have been a failed migration dressed up as a successful redesign.
We treated the migration itself as an SEO engineering problem: every legacy URL mapped to its current equivalent, verified with permanent redirects rather than discarded, and confirmed at the server level rather than assumed from a browser tab. The canonical domain, smileavenuedxb.com, kept its accumulated authority instead of starting from zero.
Local SEO: Winning Where the Clinic Actually Exists
Smile Avenue isn't an abstract internet business — it's a physical clinic in Umm Suqeim 3, Dubai. That makes local visibility commercially critical, and it's why we built a dedicated local landing page around the real clinic — location, doctors, services, FAQs, and booking — instead of generating a pile of thin, artificial city pages that add nothing.
This is what supports genuine local intent: dentist Umm Suqeim, dental implants Dubai, root canal Dubai, cosmetic dentist Dubai, aesthetic clinic Umm Suqeim — queries from people who are close enough to actually walk through the door.
The Result
One platform, two brands, zero confusion — for patients researching a root canal and patients researching microneedling alike. A technical foundation that had been quietly leaking search authority, now cleaned up and verified at the server level, not just assumed. A local SEO and AI-search structure built for how people actually look for a clinic in 2026, not how they searched for one in 2016.
For Smile Avenue and SOLAÉ, that's a website that finally matches the standard of care patients experience once they walk through the door. For CONSAI Agency, it's the clearest proof of how we work: design and technical SEO are not two separate projects — they're the same project, done properly.
What This Project Says About How We Work at CONSAI Agency
We don't believe modern businesses need "a website." They need a digital system that understands the business, the patient, the market, the search landscape, and increasingly, the AI layer connecting all of them.
UX is connected to SEO. SEO is connected to architecture. Architecture is connected to performance. Performance is connected to conversion. And none of it matters if the visitor doesn't trust what they see. That's why we approach projects like Smile Avenue across disciplines, instead of treating design, development, SEO, and content as four unrelated services handed to four different vendors.
Strategy before trends. Architecture before scale. Results before noise.
